Bay Area Housing, Inc. awarded NSP funds for purchase of foreclosed homes
The Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) awarded us a grant for the purchase of vacant, abandonded, and foreclosed homes in the City of Essexville, north of Borton Avenue.  Major renovation will be taking place soon at our first house, 1908 James Street.  This home can be purchased by a buyer at or below 120% of Area Median Income, and can be coupled with MSHDA's 80/20 loan product, making 20% of the purchase price forgivable in 10 years!  Call (989) 893-9292 for more details.

Bay Area Housing, Inc. receives MAP award
Bay Area Housing, Inc. was awarded "Most Outstanding Plan of 2008" for its Neighborhood Preservation Project 5-year plan. The award was presented at the Michigan Association of Planners annual meeting on October 2, 2008.
